ChatBox Removal

Hey Everyone! Just letting you know that I took off the ChatBox because I need to know how it works and how to Moderate it. It will be back soon!

It needs to stop sparatically appearing and disappearing

i understand why you took it down...i noticed some people being mean to others on there.

I think some people..(no names) need to just cool off. Some people are pushing the point of the fine line on rule breaking..or just being realy frustrated and snaping.

i think we need to have mabey chat box mods... or mabey try to stop somthing from escalating into another incident where Taylor would have to take down the chat box.

Well, I would like ChatBox mods, but the ChatBox doesnt support it. I'm just gonna wait, it will soon. Hopefully. Or I will just ban people.

OR you could give mabey 2 mods that are on privliges to ban or make a special section for them to report people.

I have an idea for moderating the chatbox:
The 3-strike system:
Disobey rules 1x: Warning from moderator, supervisor, or Taylor
Disobey 2x: Temporary ban by Taylor (unless the mods can be granted the ban ability somehow)
Disobey 3x: Permanent ban from the chatbox

It's as easy as that. Unfortunately, I'm still not sure what to do if someone breaks the rules while the mod, visor, and/or Taylor is out at the time. The archives record stuff, but they don't keep EVERYTHING said in there.

Another idea: Clearer rules. I read through the rules and understood them, but it looks like a lot of people don't. I think we should get together (mods, visors, and Taylor) and refine them so there isn't so much confusion and frustration. By refining them, I mean making them into a clear list of do's and don't's.

Maybe taylor just when you are on you can open the chat box so you can watch it...then when you are ready to get off you just tell eveyone that it is closing it will be open later...I know its alot of work but it could be the answer.

Wait Taylor what i ment was that you make a new part of the fourms called Chat Box whate ever and if some one breaks a rule the mod /supervisor posts who and what they did wrong.

Well, The ChatBox can only go where it was, or on the Portal. But i'll try cookiemonster's idea.

i like the idea but if u notice about the boards that there is a major increase of posts w/o the chatbox and heres a different idea but its on the same thing as cookie monsters ok make shifts for ppl to be in the chatbox like for example ill be on in the morning someone else in the after noon and then you taylor can do the night and close it down as you are leaving
