Well, I would tell you how much of an idiot you are but you said you don't want that, so, yeah.

Ugh. This morning in church they had a whole hour of talking about what it means to be a father, and I can only remember bits and peices...

Well, my personal advice is to be mature about and take responsibility of the situation, and if it actually comes to raising a kid, you should always be there for them. That's really the only advice I can give. I can't think of anything else...

I'm very tempted to do so.

Although, I am glad to see that you are willing to take responsibility.

Question Re: anyone got any tips on fathering?

Post by The Unnamed Tue Jun 17, 2008 5:58 pm

... I have a lot to say, not enough time to say it all.

That was a pretty big mistake you made, first of all. Do you know if you're going to have a kid or not?

Second of all, do you realize who you're asking? You're posting a question on a little kids' forum on the internet. Run by kids. Even if any of us here were parents, we would still not be the best people for giving advice. You don't want advice on parenting from us. Find some real parents.

Though that doesn't mean I don't have anything to say about parenting. It's obviously more than just, "raise the kid, get him to grow up, get a job, and get his own life." Let me say one thing, first: patience. I'm guessing that you'd be facing a lot of hardships with your family, your life in general--if you were to have a son. It's clear that everyone does, and I'm sure you've seen that keeping families together is pretty hard. People quit. Keep your patience and don't quit, whatever happens, no matter how hard things go. Care for others, even if it's not your problem. Keep your patience, and raise your kid as think best for him or her, and not for you.

That is, if you are going to have a kid. Other than that, I just have to say that what you did was pretty stupid, and I hope you use more sense throughout the rest of your life.

Again, seek better advice from actual experienced parents who know what they're doing. Farewell in life.
