The real down side to gum is that chewing it will eat out the inside of your stomach.

Something about how when you're chewing food (and you salivate and all of that awesome stuff), your stomach brings out its acids or something. And since you're not swallowing any food to be digested by your stomach... Er. Yeah, you wreck and get cancer and leukemia and leprosy and food poisoning and radiation sickness 'n all of that crap. I eh, heard it somewhere? >.>

But that's just technical stuff. Bubble gum is better, as long as it's not cotton-candy flavored.

I hate cotton candy.
