So, I was thinking.
So I've been around for a while ,and as long as I've been around, we haven't really done anything to clean up the place. I think it would be nice if we did, and deleted old topics and such. I think we could close down the site for maybe an hour, and do some maintence on it. It would get rid of some of the lag, and although it would delete posts, there are other options.
We could just move all the old posts to a "Graveyard", so to speak, since that's what a lot of sites do. I just think it would look better if we got rid a lot of the old topics, or at least moved them. There's six pages of pictures in the pictures forum, and they definitely aren't all needed.
I think it would just be better if we cleared everything up, so we could have a fresh start with the new school year and everything. Anyone second this?

Re: So, I was thinking.
Nobody has noticed, but I have had pruning programs deleting all topics that haven't been posted in for over two weeks... The General Chat's topics have dropped over 400, and the Locked Topics are empty.

Oh, okay, that's great.
So would it be alright if we helped it along, and deleted some way older topics? Like, in Pictures, girl's chat, etc?

Re: So, I was thinking.
Nah. Just have them deleted after 90 days of inactivity. I already set it on that anyway.

No. Because too much stuff gets deleted.

I think the inactive slash Graveyard forum would be a nice idea, that way thing's really wouldn't get deleted.

Dont auto-prune. Too many important topics of this sites history will be lost. Selective prune. Its no fun..but such is life.

Re: So, I was thinking.
Important topics? We've never talked about anything of true value here. Nobody attends anymore anyway. It's like we hooked this website up to medical equipment and it's been vegetating as an empty husk for the past few months. Nobody complained about my previous pruning. Nobody will notice. In 5 years it's not like any of this will matter to us anyway. It was just something to do to pass the time.

Re: So, I was thinking.
But there are (or were) certain topics here that are a lot more significant than others (larger picture/art topics, debates, for instance) that have had some meaning. I think most of us are fine with deleting the long forum game topics, but there are a few others worth saving.
