Hey everyone,
I know you may feel very strongly about whatever you may be debating on, but keep it civil! Name calling and arguing ruins a debate. It IS possible to respect each other, and it is very important to do so. Once you start flat-out insulting, it basically says you give up the debate.
Keep your head and stay calm. Getting worked up doesn't solve anything.
Also, be sure to respect the other side. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Respect is a mutual thing. Be open-minded. If you want the other side to even consider your point, consider theirs! If both sides are closed-minded, the debate is pointless. You can keep your opinion while still being open-minded.
And then sometimes it's wise to just keep your mouth shut (and typing fingers off the keyboard). Especially if you don't know a whole lot on the topic, or get mad easily.

So all in all, just be respectful in the debates! There's no better way to kill a site, and many friendships, than with mean debates that get out of control.
So let's enjoy some CIVIL debates, ok? Read before posting: Things to keep in mind Mood_thankful-1
